Confirmed digital platforms

Halloween: The Game launches digitally on September 8, 2026 for:

  • PlayStation 5.
  • Xbox Series X.
  • Xbox Series S.
  • PC through Steam.
  • PC through Epic Games Store.

The official pre-order page provides storefront paths for PlayStation, Xbox, Steam, and Epic. Both Digital Standard and Digital Deluxe are available across the listed digital platforms.

Physical edition platforms

Physical Standard and limited Physical Collector’s Editions launch on October 6, 2026 for:

  • PlayStation 5.
  • Xbox Series X.

The official announcement does not list a PC physical edition or an Xbox Series S disc edition. Xbox Series S does not include a disc drive, so its confirmed path is digital.

Nintendo Switch and Switch 2

No Nintendo Switch or Switch 2 version is listed on the official pre-order page, store list, or developer platform announcement as of September 1, 2026.

Players ask about a Switch version and crossplay with PC, but community questions do not confirm development. The accurate current status is not officially announced, not “cancelled” or “never coming.”

PlayStation 4 and Xbox One

Official platform lists name PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S. They do not name PlayStation 4 or Xbox One.

The game uses Unreal Engine 5 and is marketed for the current console generation. That context does not substitute for an announcement, so this page simply records that last-generation console versions are not listed.

Windows, macOS, and Linux

Steam publishes Windows 11 64-bit requirements. It does not list native macOS or Linux support.

Do not read Steam Deck compatibility, Proton behavior, or an unofficial workaround as a native platform release. Those questions need testing after launch and a separate compatibility note.

Australia availability

Australia’s Classification Board assigned the submitted game Refused Classification on August 14, 2026. RC material cannot be legally sold, hired, advertised, or imported in Australia while that decision remains in force.

The Australian Steam page still displayed prices when checked on September 1, but a storefront listing does not override the classification decision. The dedicated Australia status guide tracks that mismatch and any later official change.

Cross-platform play

IllFonic confirms crossplay across all announced platforms and an in-game friends list. A group that forms together is not intended to be split across matchmaking pools.

Cross-progression is not currently planned. Buying or unlocking content on one platform should not be assumed to transfer to another.

Dates by format

Digital Deluxe early access begins September 4, 2026 at 9 AM PT. The full digital launch follows September 8. Physical console editions arrive October 6.

The later physical date is not a delay for the digital console or PC versions.
