The primary worldwide marketing date is September 8, 2026. The official pre-order announcement separates the digital schedule from the later physical release.
Digital Deluxe early access
Digital Deluxe owners can begin on Friday, September 4 at 9 AM Pacific Time, four days before the full digital release.
Digital Standard does not include this early-access entitlement. A normal pre-order of the Standard Edition provides the Phantom Michael bonus but does not move the play date to September 4.
Local calendar time depends on region. Convert from 9 AM PT rather than assuming every country begins on the morning of September 4.
Digital launch
The digital game launches September 8 on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, Steam, and Epic Games Store.
Storefronts may convert an eventual unlock time into the buyer’s local timezone. Until IllFonic publishes the standard-edition unlock hour, September 8 is the only confirmed global digital date.
Physical launch
Physical Standard and limited Physical Collector’s Editions launch October 6 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X.
The October date applies to those physical editions. It is not a delayed full release for digital console or PC players.

Edition and pre-order content
Digital pre-orders include Phantom Michael Myers, which IllFonic describes as a pre-order exclusive that will not be sold after the pre-order period.
Digital Deluxe adds Inmate Michael, Richard and Alexis as playable Civilians, advance access to a Final Girl Laurie Strode cosmetic, the digital Halloween: The Game Comic, and the four-day early-access entitlement.
IllFonic says a Digital Deluxe Upgrade will be available at launch. Players who start with Digital Standard should check the platform store for regional upgrade pricing rather than assuming they must buy the full game again.
Physical editions offer separate advance-access cosmetics. Clown Michael and Samhain Michael are not permanent physical exclusives: other players can earn them through in-game challenges.
